I suggest you ...

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".

Enter your idea and we'll search to see if someone has already suggested it.

If a similar idea already exists, you can support and comment on it.

If it doesn't exist, you can post your idea so others can support it.

  1. integrate db split BE to cloud

The current method to split to SharePoint List at a 365 account was a good start, but is cumbersome to set up & support. The set up of a 365 account and then learning SharePoint is a real barrier. Documentation/support for this arrangement is very scattered between Access, 365 and SharePoint.

An integrated design whereby the Access developer can split the db with an option to put it in the cloud where the cloud is perceived as nothing but a folder would dramatically increase popularity of the product.

Not needing a pre established 365 account (or OneDrive or DropBox), not…

    • Import text files stored in OneDrive or Sharepoint directly into MS Access.

Import text files stored in OneDrive or Sharepoint directly into MS Access. It is currently possible to do this with Excel, but only XML files can be imported from an Internet address.

      • Sync data between local/offline and cloud db tables

The ability for records to be written locally if they cannot be written to the cloud. On reconnect or user control, resync changes. This should be done with minimal coding by the application developer. Perhaps use Access as a local data store with sync key columns for update to server.

        Thanks.
