  2. Find a way to prevent "phantom breakpoints" in the VBA IDE, this has been an issue for 20 years

We all know about these; an end user runs your Access application, and it freezes up and suddenly displays the VBA code window to the user with a line highlighted in yellow. The user is confused and concerned, and thinks it's a bug in the program. A quick random edit and recompile usually fixes this, but how about fixing the problem that these breakpoints really do get cleared when you click to Clear All Breakpoints? In some business environments you can't only deploy MDE or ACCDE files.

  3. To make it possible to make / maintain Table triggers via VBA

In stead / top of datamacros it would be very nice to have the ability to manage table triggers via VBA (like forms); easier to maintain, all the code in 1 place and more tools/functions etc available.

  6. Access Professional 365 and Access Desktop Two new versions

Draw a line under the product. Create 2 products:
Express/User version which ONLY has macros. (no VB projects)
The express version can be further tweaked to prevent creation of multi user projects

    Professional/Enterprise Developer version for Developers

with the some stripped out features put back

    The Pro version features:

1.The this version should also allow simple targeting of Mobile devices.
    2.Source control
3.AZURE SQL and SQL Server projects

This will Sell MORE cloud services

4.Improve the crappy forms projects so they are as good as VS.NET (Express....)

5.Improve reports and integrate with SQL Server reporting.
    Create PDF reporting

    6.Scrap the…

  7. Fix a bug in the Application.PlainText() method

I found a bug in the Application.PlainText() method. This method "Strips the rich text formatting from a string and returns an unformatted text string."

I don't know where else to report a bug like this. I reported the CTRL+A SQL editor bug to UserVoice and it was fixed.

I am writing a SQL formatter that will adjust the layout and colorize a SQL statement in a Rich Text box. I expect PlainText() to remove Rich Text formatting without corrupting the SQL statement.

You can reproduce this bug in the Immediate Window.

    ? PlainText("SELECT Record_ID,<BR>'Hello ' & Name")

    correctly returns:

    SELECT…

  10. Document the LoadFromText and SaveAsText methods

There are two undocumented methods, SaveAsText and LoadFromText, which were originally used for the old SCC integration. Since Access 2013, the source code integration has been removed and we now rely on third party tools (e.g. OASIS-SVN or Ivercy being example). It is my understanding those still rely on the undocumented methods. This request is to ask that Access team document those methods and thus make it supported so that those tools can continue to count on it being available and provide a solution for source code without taking any resources from Microsoft.

  12. Give us a PDB (Program Debug Database) as in VS

What I would welcome most is line number information on errors. We all know about error numbers that are not always "self-explanatory"...

Please add the ability to set term dates, like quarters can be done (so like spring, summer, winter) and possibly add holiday versions as well/customisable amounts.

  16. Navigation Control Bug Causing State Loss and VBA Project Reset

Clicking on two different tabs of Navigation control each tab containing a subform is causing state loss in the VBA environment. Running code is reset, all static and object references are lost.

  17. Developer helpers

    1. Fix all the tiny dialogs to at a minimum be sizable.

    2. Modify the linked tables manager to sort by data source. Since you can only relink one datasource at a time it makes absolutely no sense to sort alphabetically, especially when the window is so small that you can't even read half the table names, either do this easily by sorting by data source or even better by creating a source drop down and using that to filter so the form only shows tables from a particular source. I have a sample I created for my own use if you…

  18. Put more Access 2007 Background Colour in Access 2016

We find that the background colour selection in Access 2016 are way too restrictive (blinding white). Access 2007 has a light blue background and is pleasing to the eye. Would it be possible to include in Access 2016 along with other colour options?

  19. Please stop Access 2013 from automatically changing the Modified Date on Access files if no changes are made to a file

    I have Office Professional 2013.

I have it installed on an Asus Laptop running Windows 8.1.

Also OP 2010 on Windows 7.

I open 99% of my files through "File Explorer" as I have several thousand (files) sorted into numerous sub-folders.

Whenever I open an Access file to check some details and then close it WITHOUT MAKING CHANGES "File Explorer" shows that Access has automatically changed the "Date Modified" to the most recent date and time that I open and then close the file.

This is despite the fact that the last time I may have made a change whether…

  20. Buy out EverythingAccess.com's vbWatchdog add-in and incorporate it into VBA

Error-handling: Buy out EverythingAccess.com's vbWatchdog add-in and incorporate it into VBA. It makes error-handling so much easier and much like that in .NET.
