Permit (from VBA?) to instruct a program to run in a specific Core; so if we have a 4core PC, we can run concurrently 4 programs.

When objects are opened, it would be nice if Save also saved the window size (and, optionally, placement)

On some clients site I have been working, it's quite frequent to have 200 more linked tables pointing to 2 or 3 different servers (MS or Oracle). In such databases, switching forms/reports to design mode can take a minute or more, clicking in design view in a subform (or back to the main form) takes enough time to grab a coffee. It's often faster to close and reopen in the desired mode than to switch modes.This should be really improved.

When the macro window opens, it is much wider than it needs to be
If people write long comments, they can make it wider at that time.
If the Action Catalog is displayed, the window is so wide that you can't see the scrollbar

for proper date control, it would be nice to store a GMT date/time instead of Now() in the current time zone

Make Expression Builder available from Visual Basic Editor, as it used to be in Access 97 and before.
Currently it can be opened only from query design view..

Spent today trying to save pop up form windows size with popular or a dialogue but the windows kept reverting or opened off screen on a dual. Monitor Pc - and I can't tell whether if it persists whether will do properly on a single monitor PC

When the ribbons began being used, we lost the ability to display the toolbox vertically. Despite using the ribbon for several years now, I have not gotten faster at picking up the right tool quickly.

When the toolbox could be displayed vertically, I practically didn't even have to look at the tools, I knew where they were positionally.

It is much faster to design when the toolbox can be vertical.

When Browsing for Importing, Exporting, or whatever, it would be nice to be able to have an option to use the last directory used -- even if the database has been closed.

It is difficult to figure out which column of a query that properties are being set for. It would be nice to show the column name at the top of Property Sheet in a Query

Currently, if a database is opened through code, it requires gymnastics to avoid running startup stuff. It would be nice for Access to have EnableEvents like Excel does

Lots of system help forms (i.E. on Query the search table or the references form in VBA to search DLLs ) are far too small and the user cannot resizre them, why ? Just allow to pull them bigger would help

Instead of separate window where coding takes place outside of form design, have it as a window positionable beside or below the form design.

It would be nice if Intellisense/Builder would recognize Table/Query Aliases

There are lots of commands to choose for the QAT and finding what you want can take time. It would be nice to be able to filter the choices

Excel has an option to save and restore the workspace, which is very convenient for opening all the files and positioning them where they were before. With Access, of course, this would be objects in the current database instead of files.

Why not have an OpenArgs parameter like in docmd.openform ? Would enable to react in forms based on OpenArgs - especially helpful when you want to open a form on several places with different actions.

In Queries, it would be nice to be able to reference a value in a record relative to the current one.

For instance, many times it is required to get a difference in a changed value

When exporting, it would be nice to be able to choose how data in form/page headers/footers will be treated:

1. as displayed


2. only at top and bottom


3. do not include

especially for RTF and formats that will end up in Word
