  1. Intellisense/Builder Recognize Table/Query Aliases

It would be nice if Intellisense/Builder would recognize Table/Query Aliases

  2. Reference from Relative Position in a Query

In Queries, it would be nice to be able to reference a value in a record relative to the current one.

For instance, many times it is required to get a difference in a changed value

  3. Export Options

When exporting, it would be nice to be able to choose how data in form/page headers/footers will be treated:

    1. as displayed

    2. only at top and bottom

    3. do not include

especially for RTF and formats that will end up in Word

  4. MsgBox Custom Choices

With MsgBox, we can process vbYes, vbNo and other built-in choices ... it would be nice to be able to have 3 custom choices ... ie: vbCustom1 and vbCustom1Caption, vbCustom2 and vbCustom2Caption, vbCustom3 and vbCustom3Caption,

  5. SaveAs

I add SaveAs to my QAT -- but it would be nice if it was there by default.

When Save As (for object) from the backstage or whatever it is being these days, does NOT show what you are looking at -- this makes naming difficult.

  6. Save Last Path Used

When Browsing for Importing, Exporting, or whatever, it would be nice to be able to have an option to use the last directory used -- even if the database has been closed.

  7. QAT Filter

There are lots of commands to choose for the QAT and finding what you want can take time. It would be nice to be able to filter the choices

  8. Close all but the active object

It would be nice to have an option to Close All but the active object ... Close All would be ok too!

  9. Show Columname at top of Property Sheet in Query

It is difficult to figure out which column of a query that properties are being set for. It would be nice to show the column name at the top of Property Sheet in a Query

    thank you

  10. EnableEvents

Currently, if a database is opened through code, it requires gymnastics to avoid running startup stuff. It would be nice for Access to have EnableEvents like Excel does

    thank you

  11. Ability to Show Property Sheet and Field List at the Same Time

This is not new ... just missed! We used to be able to show the Property Sheet and Field List at the same time ... I miss this a lot!

  12. Save/Restore Workspace

Excel has an option to save and restore the workspace, which is very convenient for opening all the files and positioning them where they were before. With Access, of course, this would be objects in the current database instead of files.

  13. Retain Window Size When Object Opened

When objects are opened, it would be nice if Save also saved the window size (and, optionally, placement)

for proper date control, it would be nice to store a GMT date/time instead of Now() in the current time zone

  15. add event: Before Leave Record

an event that would be nice to have is Before Leave Record. This would enable a main form/view to ensure there are are actually detail records

  16. Just get the first record for each whatever in a list

In queries, when there are multiple records for criteria, it would be nice if we could specify to just get the first record matching a certain condition but show all records matching criteria for the query.

    Example:
list of all last order dates for a customer

  17. Please allow the storing of comments in the SQL of stored queries.

If a query is at all complicated, it can be good to store comments, but this is not possible currently in Access.

  18. Make it possible to properly hide the Navigation Pane

Currently this can be made visible programmatically from an external program via Automation.

  19. Make it possible to stop Access Desktop from being an Automation Server so that security is improved

Currently, if a user has Access running, much of what is meant to be secured can be accessed from another program, e.g. Excel, via Automation. This is not good.
