  1. suggest this workaround for "query is corrupt" error

    I wrote this code snippet (you may have to adjust it to match the tables in your database), and within a minute the whole program worked again. Hope this helps someone else, too:

    Public Sub RenameAllTables()

    Dim dbs As Database

    Dim tdf As TableDef
    Set dbs = CurrentDb
    For Each tdf In dbs.TableDefs
    If InStr(1, tdf.Name, "tbl_") > 0 Then ' this way we don't change system tables
    tdfName = tdf.Name
    tdfNewName = Replace(tdfName, tdfName, "dbo_" & tdf.Name)
    DoCmd.Rename tdfNewName, acTable, tdfName

    strSQL = "SELECT * FROM " & tdfNewName
    Set qdf = CurrentDb.CreateQueryDef(tdfName, strSQL)
    End If
    Next

    End Sub …

  2. SaveAs

    I add SaveAs to my QAT -- but it would be nice if it was there by default.

    When Save As (for object) from the backstage or whatever it is being these days, does NOT show what you are looking at -- this makes naming difficult.

  4. Improve the facility to group tables under its parent database in the Linked Table Manager form

    I have more than 10 Backend ACCDB's connecting to a single Front-end ACCDB. In such a scenario it becomes very difficult to identify which tables are linked to which database.
    I would like to request the Access team to Group all tables to the ACCDB from where they are being linked to. This way its easy to identify and relink only the required tables and jump directly to its parent database.
    Thank you in advance.

    Many places now user PIV cards to authenticate users. It would be create to be able to access that information.

  8. Enable conditional formatting in individual cells of a Listbox

    I think this is related to some earlier postings by other users.
    Conditional formatting much like what is available in Excel.

  9. change the tab order functionality to be similar to visual studio where an indicator appears next to the control to see/change the order

    When you have a lot of controls on a form and need to change the tab order, it would be great to have the functionality similar to visual studio where an indicator appears next to the control to be able to easily see/change the order

  10. Add Search Bar history, and maybe logical operators like AND, OR, NOT

    I use the Search Bar in the Navigation Pane a lot. And specially if you name queries, forms, tables etc with same prefix/suffix code (ie q03CustomerList, f03CustomerList) you get the various objects that is connected to each other just by searching 03. It is really fast and easy to design/work on your objects this way. But what I often miss is a Search Bar history, showing the different searches you have done during a working day. Another nice feature to add is ability to have logical operators (AND, OR, NOT) in the Search Bar...

  11. SQL editor navigation from Create > Query Design

    Create > Query Design serves a modal popup requiring dismissal in order to opt to open the SQL text edit window. It would be nice to save a click by having an option to select SQL view, which would dismiss the table selector and open the SQL text editor

  12. Refer to Support ticket # 5289030 for user: K7WCS@SCATeam.org, for issue with displaying photos in Print Preview.

    Photos display very poorly in Print Preview, while they display correctly in Report View and in Form View. There are numerous screen clips of the issue taken by the technician, which are included in the indicated ticket.

  15. There should be a feature to disable the ability to export all objects in access desktop database

    There should be a feature to disable the ability to export all objects in access 2007 SP3 up to access 2016 desktop database, regardless whether the database is passworded or not.

  17. Search a replace inside the DataMacro editor.

    Search an replace text/fields inside the DataMacro editor. I hate having to visually scan a huge data macro for one field if I have made the slightest change.

  20. Allow us to fix the size of a query window

    When I open a query window, I often have to spend a while re-sizing it and moving it before I can view the results.
    Although there is a re-size menu option at the tip left, this only works for that session.
    When I open the query next time it is back to its original size.
    They are often far too large and have lots of black space to the right of the window.
