  2. Join desktop and web database into a single solution that renders HTML5 user interface

When database is created it should be possible to use it as a desktop database or to publish it onto for example IIS for a web usage without any changes to it. The publishing engine should be capable of rendering forms as a HTML5 user interface. VBA functionality should be interpreted as server side and or client side VB Script. Probaly forms should be saved as XML for that purpose.

  3. Bug Report -- Multiple Access Crashes

Since 8/1/2018, MS Access has been crashing repeatedly on multiple machines in our office. We are on 64 bit Office 365 and Windows 10. It appears some bug must have been introduced during one of the automatic updates.

This crash appears to occur with automation where I think a second instance of MS Access is calling an MS access program, but not totally sure:

  4. Provide Ability to Create .accdr runtime files from Access "Save & Publish" module.

One of the biggest problems IT Departments have with desktop Access is security issues. Microsoft can do multiple things to address these concerns. One of the most straight-forward is to make it easier to publish a runtime file. Access application administrators should be able to publish a runtime file as fast as they can publish a .accdb or a .accdt file.

  6. Add running total() and rownumber() functions to queries and forms

If you are doing any finance related database running totals are an absolutely necessity. At present there is a capacity to do this on reports but not on forms. Workarounds are available but they are clunky and slow the queries down massively on even relatively small datasets.

These functions are available in some SQL implementations and they are long overdue in Jet/Access.

  8. Create an "expert mode" option that disables Access novice features in design mode.

For examples, it frustrates to me when Access decides to trial run my complicated or data intense cross-tab queries upon entering or exiting design mode. And sometimes it alters a failed query automatically when I open it in design mode. In all cases the auto changes are destructive, even when I try to close out of design without saving. There are many other automatic features for dummies that I'd love to disconnect but can't.

  9. MsgBox Custom Choices

With MsgBox, we can process vbYes, vbNo and other built-in choices ... it would be nice to be able to have 3 custom choices ... ie: vbCustom1 and vbCustom1Caption, vbCustom2 and vbCustom2Caption, vbCustom3 and vbCustom3Caption,

  10. Enhance SQL aggregate functions with DISTINCT (count distinct, sum distinct, avg distinct)

The DISTINCT option for aggregate functions is actually missing.

  11. Add a property to enter new records at the top of a form/subform

A subform in column/datasheet format always presents a space for the new record on the bottom even when the data is in descending order. A new property to place the new record above all the other records would be great. Right now the new space is at the bottom which makes sense for ascending records, but not for descending.

If the user presses "New" in the ribbon, a new record may pop up in the main form instead of the subform if it does not have focus. Explaining the concept of "focus" to a user does not always work. A…

  12. Bug Report -- Application Crashing after update

We had this problem back in August with MSAccess 64 bit on Office 365 crashing after a windows update. Once again, the same issue: Access is crashing multiple times per day because of bugs introduced by Microsoft during the update process.

  13. Open Query in SQL View

Please give us the ability to open a query in SQL view directly.

Also, when designing a query, don't process the records until we go to Datasheet View.

  15. Increase Accdb file size capacity

2 GB size storage capacity, could be enough for maybe more than 5 years that if small growth of data entry, but for thousands of data could be entries in just 1 year it would be a fear to reach it's limit. For me i don't need 10 GB but maybe 4 GB could be better than what we have today.

  16. add access online for outlook.com users

can you make a web based soltuon of access so that users who do not have the desktop version can make minor edits in a web based version such as how word and excel run for those who have a outlook.com account. I would like to have access run in the same way this way more than 1 person can enter data into dabase at the same time saving data entry time and also making it where everyting is up to date across all users

  18. Refresh tables/queries while in Query Design View

Add a way to refresh the columns listed in tables and queries being shown in the graphical layout of the Query Design View. A right-click, hotkey, or ribbon button would be nice.

This scenario takes place when you are designing a new query that is dependent on other tables and queries. As you are working in Design View, you realize you need to make a change to a dependent table/query such as adding or renaming a column. Without closing the current query, you go and update the dependent object and come back to the open query. Now you want to…

  19. improve performance of conditional formating

conditional formating is a great feature but slow when data is not small and forms flicker. Can you please improve that?
By the way: Shadows of Buttons flicker too.
