Provide a better SQL editor
Please provide a better SQL editor with syntax highlighting, indention, IntelliSense and using SQL comments in Access 2017.
The Access team is adjusting our status for this request – we are planning to embed the Monaco Editor (support for SQL Editor improvements) into Access, to be released within the next semester (first half of 2021), which will provide capabilities such as syntax highlighting, IntelliSense, SQL comments, and more. We are excited to have this capability released by next year, and we appreciate the energy and enthusiasm on this feature request. We still have a long ways to go to improve our experience with SQL, so please stay tuned as we execute on this objective!

This is one of my favorite suggestions for developers for decades now (literally)! Maybe this time MS will listen...

At least search and replace, please...

There's a similar suggestion here: http://access.uservoice.com/forums/319956-access-desktop/suggestions/10130526-allow-jet-ace-sql-to-support-multiple-sql-statemen
Can they be merged? Thanks

I would like to see this too. At a minimum "Find and Replace" should be easy to implement without breaking existing functionality. Syntax highlighting would be my next request, which should also not break existing functionality or backwards compatibility. I have wished for comments in the SQL editor but I'm not sure how you'd save and restore them and still be backwards compatible.

Also, please include a search & replace text capability. (This has been requested in other SQL view suggestions.)
