Improve the built in Date Picker
Currently the built in date picker is useful only with inputting recent dates. Since you can only navigate month by month if the user needs to enter a date more than a few months away, it can be cumbersome to navigate.
The Date picker should allow the user to select a month and year to choose the date from.
Also it would be nice if one could add a time picker to a DateTime control. Either along with the date picker or instead of it.
The limited usage of the current date picker forces developers to use other solutions when needing to have the user enter a date and/or time value.
Thanks Scott for posting.
The team has reviewed this ask (and other related suggestions) and we will add it to a ‘Customer Wish List’.
It will be prioritized and added to our backlog.

It would be really nice to add not only date pick but also a time pick
since in many cases we need either date , time or both

Additionally, when using the date picker you have to subsequently tab or click out of the date control to fire the AfterUpdate event. This can be non-intuitive. Then, I have a situation where I'm using the date picker in the header of a continuous form for selection criteria. After selecting the date and tabbing out of the control there are some calculated fields in the continuous form that don't populate until you click the mouse in one of the rows. This is not a problem if you manually set the date or when setting the date within code by using some custom "Previous"/"Next" buttons. It's only after the date picker control has been opened.

Can you just bring back the ActiveX calendar. I have several forms with 12 calendars that no longer work. Thanks.
I agree the built i picker is useless for DOB, going back a month at a time is not workable.
The date picker need to fire events like Before and After Update.
Very good points !
