Search and replace on all database objects.
Queries, Forms, Reports, Macro, VBA, possibly even tables.
Today I do this by exporting all database objects to text files, using a utility that I built, and then using a customer text search app that I built to find strings using regex matches. Then I have to go and open the objects and manually make the changes.
Thank you for posting and supporting.
We realize the ask is to have this as a native functionality in Access but there are great third party tools available to solve this problem, and currently there is no plan to enable this.
i use total search from vtools. it works very good
What are those great third party tools? I would be happy to buy one of them.
Fisher's Find & Replace is not being brought forward, what else is there?

Excellent idea. This would be very useful.

It's a sin this isn't in MS Access. As others have stated 'Rich Fisher's legendary Find & Replace is indispensable' and it's a crying shame that Microsoft doesn't have this functionality inbuilt by default.
Agree completely. There needs to be a global find and replace (like Rick Fisher's) built into Access so that if one wants to change a field or object name, it can be changed globally - forms, database, queries, reports, VBA, etc. Would be even better if it could be run on multiple databases at the same time (front-end/back-end).

I know & love the tool but still even this one has one missing edge: If having inbound macros it does not change the code there.
Fully agree Rich Fisher's legendary Find & Replace is indispensable. Microsoft should buy it off Rick and make it standard.
I know the tool but it isn't free ($ 37). It should be standard functionality and not a paid add-on.
Meanwhile ... in case you are not aware ... the de-facto standard tool for this is Rich Fisher's legendary Find & Replace, which I have been using since it's inception circa Access 2.0

Totally indispensable !
