Restore 2003 and prior ability to edit object name by clicking on them
We used to be able to click on an object to rename them easily. Now one has to right-click and select Rename, or press F2. Please return the ability to simply click on it.
It might be wise to ask 'why' that change was made?
And sorry, but the Nav Pane is one of the best feature enhancements of all time in Access. Starting with the Search bar, not to mention being able to select multiple objects even across different object types (Forms, Tables, etc) to delete or what not. Did I mention that Groups are actually useful now. And a couple 100 other things. Long live the Nav Pane. I think that most people (Pat?) have not bothered to investigate the new features. The only thing I find annoying is the Description column disappeared.
And BTW .. the Access Product Team IS listening, trust me. But there are limited resources and not everything can be implemented. Not to mention the code base is 24 years old ... so making certain changes would be very risky. And there is virtually no one left from the early days of Access.

I seriously don't expect them to be resolved.
MS has already proven this site does not do what they said it would do by ignoring highly voted items and completing suggestions with next to no votes.
MS will never be in a position to say they were never told about the issues as long as we post them.

This is one of those stupid changes that frankly drives me nuts. I realize it is just a short putt but change for the sake of change is POOR! Why would Access elect to work differently from Windows itself when prior versions worked the same way Windows did. There are numerous other "little" dumb things like that that were broken with A2007 (including the switch from the database window to the inferior nav "pain") and I've almost given up hope of them ever being restored.
