  1. All the 32 bit dll and ocx should work in 64 bit os and office

    We are working with 32-bit add-ins for access. But it is not possible to work in 64 bit system which I am using.

  2. State of the Art Replacement for Active X MS Calendar

    Everything revolves around time and Microsoft Active X Calendar is(was?) the perfect tool to use in a lot of applications we've prepared over the years. This gem works seamlessly even in continuous forms while current datepickers associated with textboxes won't do and subforms won't do and equally seamlessly integrates with VBA code and queries and control sources SQL. It doesn't work in Access 64 bit so it's about time to come up with a state-of-the-art replacement but even simply enabling it for 64 bit would suffice.

  3. BugFix: Combo Datatype bug

    Please fix the combo box RowSource datatype binding bug.

    The bug is as follows:
    1. Create a table [Table1] with two columns:
    - [NumberField], datatype: Number, Double
    - [TextField], datatype: Short Text

    Add 1 Row to the table:
    [NumberField] = 10
    [TextField] = "Some Text 10"

    2. Create a combo box:
    - Set the RowSource of the combo box to this:
    SELECT NumberField, TextField FROM Table1;

    3. Add a Button to the form: [cmbErrorExample]
    Add On Click Event:
    If Me.cmbErrorExample.RowSource = "SELECT NumberField, TextField FROM Table1;" Then
    Me.cmbErrorExample.RowSource = "SELECT TextField, NumberField FROM Table1;"
    Me.cmbErrorExample.DefaultValue = "Some Text 10"
    Me.cmbErrorExample.Value…

  4. Add a TreeGrid Control

    A TreeGrid control could be used in forms, or as just a Tree control. This should be a somewhat customizable look and feel.

  5. improve performance of conditional formating

    conditional formating is a great feature but slow when data is not small and forms flicker. Can you please improve that?
    By the way: Shadows of Buttons flicker too.

  6. Fix Bug - Forms with ActiveX controls cause Exception 0xc0000374 since at least 16.0.11727.20118

    Opening/using forms that contain ActiveX controls, notably "Microsoft TreeView Control, version 6.0" cause Access to crash since at least version 16.0.11727.20210 on the Monthly channel. No versions in the Semi-annual (Targeted) channel seem to have this bug (yet).

    The forms affected usually crash within moments of opening, but occasionally will work to some degree for several seconds.

  7. splitter control

    A splitter control similar to the infragistics Vb6 control was one of my favourites.. It allowed you to apportion the screen in panels, great for displaying more than one thing at once. Saves alot of code in the resize event.

  8. Student Database

    The Student Database template uses a tabbed form to access alternative data on a specific student. I would like to be able to add 2 more tabs, but when I set them up, they don't point to the specific student in the overarching form. Can you include a table in the template that gives some explanation on how the writer did this with the other tabs?

  9. Enable Rich Text fields in textboxes to show and create tables.

    The Rich Text format of a Long Text field is very helpful for formatting text, but has the major flaw of not being able to create or display tables, i.e. grids. The FMS Total Access Memo ActiveX control will display them, but can't modify them, so Access currently seems to be unable to properly handle tables in formatted text. These need to be creatable and modifiable in textboxes on forms and displayable on reports, please.

  10. new templates for collectors

    Microsoft Access templates for collectors. There are many different types of collections (e. g. minerals, rocks, fossils, artwork, coins, stamps, etc., etc.). I suggest that museums that specialize in each type of collection be consulted as to what information each type of template includes.

  11. Limits are reached - if I open one more form: Error 3048: Cannot open any more databases

    I have 2 reports and 1 form open. Each of theses has complex data sources (with many joins, subqueries...). If I open an fourth report - I get the error message.

    I think the limits are to low. Please upgrade them.

  12. Produce an audit trail for converting older Access programs to Access 365

    Have Access 365 produce a report showing the changes it makes to older Access databases after you run and compile in Access 365. I recently encountered a situation where Access365 automatically resized one of my forms on conversion making the form seem to be invisible.

  13. Fix "There isn't enough memory to update the Display" issues

    Our customers are increasingly encountering "There isn't enough memory to update the display. Close unneeded programs and try again." error messages after working in the application for a few minutes/hours.

    This screen capture shows example:
    https://bluelink-my.sharepoint.com/:i:/g/personal/darren_bluelink_ca/EcLAFCqZkedHn7tqsKHwUUABFrj6r6bo3qvT1FXAgxXrBA?e=TN6o2R

    Note that this customer had no other Access forms Open other than the one shown in the screen capture.

    Is there a code change that can be made, or is this a problem that the Access team has to solve? Note this is running in Server 2016 RDP server.

  14. Gridlines to Modern Access Charts

    The 'modern' charts in MS Access no longer allows for gridlines to be set. The gridlines can be a great visual aid in charts to quickly access where the value plotted lies in relation to the axis. It was present in the 'old' charts but is no longer available in the 'modern' charts. I would also recommend adding scatter plots to the modern charts. Just FYI, your free/opensource counterparts have them already implemented within their packages.

  15. When setting 'can grow' to yes in a form field, the form field should grow!

    I have a form with a subform. The subform is set to continuous because I want to see all of the records that relate to that particular item.

    I have a form field (Text Box) which is set to Long Text, and the properties are Can grow = yes, except in form view the field doesn't grow! Apparently this is reserved for when the form or report is printed. This is not what users want or need, and I don't want to have to set the field to be bigger than it is just so that any wrapped text shows…

  17. Create a developers version including functionality to create Web forms.

    Microsoft wasted money developing LightSwitch and Access web Apps.
    Invest in a new developers version of Msaccess that has controls similar to DevExpress or Telerik that can create .Net apps as well. I.T would easily pay 000's $ per developer and Microsoft would make money on MSaccess.

  18. Add Form position properties (x and y) to window screen

    It would be great if access form (either overlapped or popup form) has X and Y poperty fixed to active screen (measurement in twips). As far I know, the property LEFT and TOP are relative to their window (most value are 0 if a form in topmost or leftmost.

  19. Allow arrow up/down keys to move between previous/next row in continuous form

    In a datasheet form we can navigate left/right as well as up/down, navigating between different rows of the recordset.

    In continuous forms the up/down errors behave the same as left/right.

    Nowadays, to achieve the described behavior we have to catch the KeyDown event in a continuous form and MoveNext or MovePrevious with error handling for first/last record etc.

    Instead the behavior should be the same as in datasheet form.
    There can be an option similar to "Move after <Enter>".

  20. make it easy to remove layouts in Access 365

    It seems to be virtually impossible to add controls to a new Form without them being put into a Layout Group.
    When I click on the Layout button in the ribbon there are no options, aside from customising the ribbon.
    This should be my choice not yours.
