  2. give users a warning when an update statement fails to add a new record to a recordset

    When using an update statement (via Excel VBA) to add records to a database no error message is given when the update statement fails to add the record.

    Using a loop to add records to a recordset, when one of the addnew statements fail no error message is given to the users and none of the other items in the loop following the record that fails get processed.

    EG_If the loop has 100 records to add, if the 50th record fails, then the records 51 to 100 in the loop don't get processed. BUT NO ERROR MESSAGE!!!

  3. Fix cursor alignment when editing USysRibbons XML text.

    Custom UI xml is uneditable from within Access at the table level, from queries or forms, due to the cursor not being properly aligned with the text. I would love to be able to manage my content controls from within the application, instead of copy pasting the xml from external applications and hiding/unhiding the USysRibbons table. It's not an overly complicated task to validate XML from vba, but the inability to easily edit the text, makes it impossible to incorporate this workflow.

  4. MS Outlook - Add option in Rules to redirect email according to domain extension

    Rules in Outlook allow for a lot of email redirecting, but not by domain extension. I was starting to get a lot of junk email from domain extension, ".de" which refers to the Republic of Germany. I don't have anything to do with that are of the world. I just want to 'mark as read'/delete any email with that domain extension.

  5. Provide a method for printing selected items from the Help Panel.

    Perhaps this capability exists in MS Access 2016 but I am not aware of it. Thank you.

  6. QAT getting lost frequently in access 2016 after adding new items. I sit a bug or just only on my case...

    After customizing the QAT for a specific access application, in perticular cases it goes to default QAT and all my effort to customize the QAT goes futile. Seems like a bug. Please look at it.

  7. Complete the colour system on the Tabs when I open a new tab in the Navigation side bar

    Complete the colour system on the Tabs when I open a new tab in the Navigation side bar. When I open a tab from my Navigation Side bar, the top one opened is pink.
    If I open another Tab, the list of tables/Reports/Forms/Queries should also change to be say pink to indicate which one is open on top.

  12. Create a new Comprehensive Windows Installer for Access Applications.

    Access needs a quick way to get a good solid installation of Back-end and Front-end databases including a registry edit for Trusted locations and versioning.
    It should also include the ability to:
    Add Icons,
    Add Desktop and other shortcuts,
    Allow user to accept an ELUA (End User License Agreement)
    Run simple scripts,
    Install with full windows trust. (maybe with a certificate?)
    An uninstaller.
    A check for updates function.
    Install support files into specified folders.
    Read simple system values and react accordingly (eg if 64bit systems then install 64 bit ODBC Driver)

    Also it would be nice if it could notify…

  13. Make the 'Compact and Repair Database' function automatic on saves

    Access file sizes grow rapidly, even if there's no database in use. PC's are fast enough to do the Compact and Repair function with very little delay in saving files. At least make it an option in the Current Database settings.

  14. Fix Access object executing

    While MS Access is executing code during the object's event, all other events of the object are locked, so they will not be fired.

    Let's say we have the Microsoft Calendar Control 8.0 ( mscal.ocx ) placed to a form and we have the code:
    Private Sub Calendar1_Click()
    Calendar1.Month = 1 + (Calendar1.Month) Mod 12
    End Sub

    Private Sub Calendar1_NewMonth()
    MsgBox "Calendar1_NewMonth event" & Calendar1.Month
    End Sub

    The sample should displays a message box when the user clicks the control. In MS Access, the message box never occurs, as the NewMonth event is called during the Click event. If the…

  15. SendObject with html template

    As Sendobject is the unique way to bypass warning security, when will MS fix the bug on docmd.sendobject with html template or provide a real exemple whom works with vba code.

    Does't work under office 2010, 2013, Office 365

  16. Provide an Option to Disable the Outlook Warning when using EMailDatabaseObject

    It would be useful to be able to disable the Microsoft Outlook warning that reads "A program is trying to send an email message on your behalf...".

    We currently have to use third-party application such as ClickYes by Context Magic to enable automatic emailing.

  18. Improve the Event Model

    We have to develop obscure workarounds for simple Events like MouseOver, et al. At least duplicate what is most common in other languages, like JS.

  19. Create a distribution mechanism

    This is for applications that use Access as a front-end to SQL Server.

    Create a distribution mechanism in Access where:
    - Developers can release a new version with a version number
    - It automatically creates a secure accde and places it on a file server
    - When a user copy of an accde starts up, the current version can check for a new release
    - If a new version exists, Access closes, the new version is copied, and the new accde restarts

    I have existing code for much of this for my main applications. But I have to rely on…

  20. EXCEL Import via Drag an Drop

    Make it possible to import / link an Excel File/Table via Drag and Drop into MS Access.
    Drag it from Excel - Drop it to e.g. an *accdb.
    MS should asks: Import or Link ... an then do it.
