  1. Add an additional GetOption/SetOption option to set the Startup Form

Sometimes we want to programmatically set the startup form and that is currently not possible.
Please add GetOption("Display Form") and SetOption("Display form").
I would use this feature in my "To Convention" code that fixes up bad naming convention.

  2. Improved command line access

Could we have command line flags which:
\noautoexec - prevents any macro running on start-up
    \table <tablename> opens on a specific table
    \form <formname> - opens on a specific form
    \report <reportname> opens on a specific report
The last three, obviously, being alternatives.

  3. Enable accde's to show in Recent list and be "pinned"

When you right click on the Access Icon on the Task Bar it only shows accdb files. If you have opened an accde it is not listed!
This is matched in the Recent list of the file tab too.
    Please fix this (again).

  4. Incorporate office scripts in MS Access

Incorporate office scripts in MS Access. Excel and other M365 apps such as Word, PowerPoint and Outlook are getting office scripts functionality on desktop with script lab addin. Please consider adding office scripts to access.

  7. Provide a way to connect access contact form to skype

I used to be able to click on a number on an access Form textbox and it would automatically open skype and phone the number. Can we have that ability back again. You have produced a very nice contact form template, but it does not have that function which seems surprising.

  10. Provide some SDLC Support with more developer-centric features, like SQL and/or VBA Script generation

Given the typical Dev/Test/Prod development staging methodologies, and the great ease by which changes to database objects (especially "supporting"-type changes like adding indexes to existing tables) can occur in a software development cycle, it would be very beneficial to allow the built-in Access Table, Query, Form, and Report designers to save the "state" of the overall object, and at "Save"-time offer an option to Generate VBA and/or SQL scripts that can help to facilitate the (re-)deployment of the new changes to partnering databases (migrate the changes from Test back to Dev or Prod copies of a database, for example).
    Being…

  11. Ity would be great if there was a one-click button to update Access 2016 with/from Outlook 2016

I found that altho9u9gh I could import data from Outlook, with existing notes, That subsequent emails and notes were not registered within Access.
Also their should be a button so that when working with a contact in Access, we can click a button to write an email and it opens Outlook email

  14. Addition to the Access task database

    1. I need to add child task/s to the parent task. It must be linked with a Unique ID number.

    2. I need to move the field around to suit my process. Currently the field are static in the form "Task List"

    3. I suggest that you make Access - Task very user friendly by creating field that are already coded that can be just dragged and drop. ex: if I want to do an addition of two field and see the total in one filed. I'm not a programmer and need to use this in simple way.

    Regards

  15. there are too many choices, narrow it down to 5 basic ideas of total program that will help in a solid venue of knowledge of good success

have an article to explain one path to set up access so give one idea as to what the final goal will be, and does every data base have access to add and change the overall complexity of the total program like office 365 is so complicated it will take several talented people to run the program.

  16. MS Outlook - Add option in Rules to redirect email according to domain extension

Rules in Outlook allow for a lot of email redirecting, but not by domain extension. I was starting to get a lot of junk email from domain extension, ".de" which refers to the Republic of Germany. I don't have anything to do with that are of the world. I just want to 'mark as read'/delete any email with that domain extension.

  18. give users a warning when an update statement fails to add a new record to a recordset

When using an update statement (via Excel VBA) to add records to a database no error message is given when the update statement fails to add the record.

Using a loop to add records to a recordset, when one of the addnew statements fail no error message is given to the users and none of the other items in the loop following the record that fails get processed.

EG_If the loop has 100 records to add, if the 50th record fails, then the records 51 to 100 in the loop don't get processed. BUT NO ERROR MESSAGE!!!

  19. Fix cursor alignment when editing USysRibbons XML text.

Custom UI xml is uneditable from within Access at the table level, from queries or forms, due to the cursor not being properly aligned with the text. I would love to be able to manage my content controls from within the application, instead of copy pasting the xml from external applications and hiding/unhiding the USysRibbons table. It's not an overly complicated task to validate XML from vba, but the inability to easily edit the text, makes it impossible to incorporate this workflow.

  20. Provide a method for printing selected items from the Help Panel.

Perhaps this capability exists in MS Access 2016 but I am not aware of it. Thank you.
