Fix the "System Resource Exceeded" error that requires Processor Affinity be set to 0.
We have a number of users at work who regularly report, when using Access 2016, that they get a "System Resource Exceeded" error when running certain queries. It is intermittent, but happens frequently. Didn't used to happen on Office 2010, or under Windows 7. Happens regularly under Office 2016 under Windows 10.
Multiple threads online point to the current "workaround" being to set Processor Affinity to 0, rather than utilizing all cores of the process. This seems like a shitty solution, and it would be better if the underlying issue(s) with using multi-core processor(s) would be fixed, so the workaround…

Access 365 runtime bug
Since the office update 2019 version 2009 (build 13231.20262) it is impossible for my users to open a program with Access 365 32-bit runtime, there is a message like "the database was unrecognized format ..."
P.S. if I compile my program on another computer with an earlier version, everything works.
Any solution otherwise an Office roolback version?2 votes -
add Option Application.UNLoadCustomUI
Situation:
We have linked database to SQL database
users can choose what database the connect - they are all same schema
We use VBA tebledef to change all Linked Tables to a Database
this is our only alternative to Old Good ADP!!!for each database - as an AD user - you may have different permissions for the new database
based on that we load ribbon from xml in the loaded SQL database And using the callback in VBA we make each TAB in the ribbon Visible or not.we need an option to simply mimic the Application.LoadCustomUI
and have…

Microsoft Access 2016 Runtime Problems
I have some questions about Microsoft Access 2016 Runtime
1) I don't know if it is updated automatically or how to update it manually.
2) When I create a PDF With Docmd.OutputTo it is closed the program, If I repeat the process the program works ok.
3) When I make updates in the program and then I put .accdr file in the customers computers (Access 2016 Runtime), Few minutes later the program crash (Database) and the message that appear is "Unrecognized database format" Error1 vote -
Microsoft Accessで、2019年11月の更新プログラムが適用されると、「クエリが破損しています。」というエラーが発生し、処理が動かなくなる事象
Microsoft Access

Fix faulty VBA save functionality; add VBE auto-save and database recycle bin; add much better undo functionality
The Visual Basic editor should have an auto-save option. Code doesn't take much disk space, so this should be a default option (just like Word has an auto-save function). A couple of times, I lost a great deal of code EVEN THOUGH I SAVED IT, when Access crashed. Obviously, something didn't work with your Visuals Basic save function, as I lost my changes. That needs to be fixed. Nowadays, I'm copying my code to another text editor, just in case Access crashes and I lose my work.
You should have a recycle bin in Access for deleted tables. Upon exiting…

Simple improvements for crash, and locked-up related issues
Sometimes CTRL+BREAK or ESCAPE doesn't work, even when Access says you can press CTRL+BREAK or ESCAPE to stop a task. I keep on running into this problem. I suggest better interrupts are programmed into Access that interrupt processing say every 30 seconds to listen to any interrupting key presses that have been made, so execution can be stopped. Fairly frequently, I'm having to crash out of Access to recover control of my computer. Even sometimes, I have to power off my computer completely (without a proper shutdown), to recover control of my computer. These should be simple things for Microsoft…

Replace VBA with .NET Core then make cross platform and cloud
This is a great RAD app, it should be available to all users on any OS. Please keep it relevant. I may turn ancient otherwise cause I'm gonna to keep using it for prototyping!
Access is cool.
Please don't die.

Leave right-click menu searching options available in runtime
The right-click menu on DS forms contains BOTH design and user elements. Rather than removiing the entire menu in runtime mode, just remove the design options and leave the user-friendly searching features available.

Create a truly locked down FE format
ULS was a pain and way too many people implemented it incorrectly but it did serve a function which we have lost. People who develop Access apps for others need a way to completely lock down the FE. The .accde doesn't cut it because users can still modify tables, queries, and macros. We need something that acts like the .accdr but which isn't a trick. I understand why creating an .exe is not an option but you should be able to create a "permanent" format that acts like .accdr but which can't be undone by simply renaming the file. That…

Package accdr with the runtime
Please make Access package the runtime with mde/accde/accdr into a standalone EXE like VFP and RBase to avoid the annoying setup and version conflict and make it a truly stand alone app.

with accde: create forms and controls at runtime. even reports.
how wonderful it would be to have programmatic access to create forms and Controls at runtime (compiled version)
Even The ability to create and change reports.22 votes -
Solving Bug in Table Design View
Hello Everyone,
I have incurred in a big and curios problem recently. While I was designing a Table through the Design View Window, Access just shot down. I looked up on the internet, tried everything the problem was still there. I eventually solved it, but what was strange is that this problem apparently happened because of too many stuff in the Quick Access Toolbar bar. Once i removed them, the problem disappeared.
