  1. Correct a feature side effect: Display Display Text Scaling Vs. Access Navigation Pane.

If the user uses the Windows display setting to increase the text size across all applications, the scaling corrupts the operation of the Access Navigation pane. Apparently the navigation pane cannot handle the change in scale and will not display properly.

  2. Add a visual clue that the data is still being loaded before user can get the drop-down to choose type (e.g., Sum, or Count)

After I add a Totals row to my datasheet (by clicking the Sigma button), I was expecting to get a drop down when I click on any column for the Totals row. With a Linked Table (SQL Server), I wasn't getting this. I assumed it was because this Totals row would not work for Linked Tables, perhaps?

I had even asked why this might be with this SQL Server support forum: https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/sqlserver/en-US/502dea49-1a92-4fdb-89b0-1d778a7b7df4/not-able-to-display-column-totals-totals-row-in-ms-access-for-linked-table-from-sql-server

As described in that forum post, the reason I wasn't getting the drop-down allowing me to choose Sum, or Count, etc., was because MS Access was still loading…

  4. Horizontal Data in For

We need the ability or a control to represent our data horizontally instead of vertically. Such as the websites they are representing their products horizontally and the customer can scroll. it would be a great thing if we have this ability in ms access.

  5. what does "Preview for pogo.com is not available" mean?

My computer (Windows10 LAPTOP, not mobile) has restricted access to ALL Internet Searches by using the words "Preview for (anything searchable) is not available" and "Must use New App: ms-appx-web".
Cannot open my already-paid-for pogo.com which had been pinned to bottom Taskbar. Email, news, weather and Focus Assist WORKS.

  6. Make it possible to refresh Access.Printers without having to restart Access

When using msaccess.exe via RemoteApp, sometimes printers are missing in the Access.Printers collection. But if you open Devices & Printers from the RemoteApp, you can see that they're there in the OS, but they were probably installing when Access was starting.

Relaunching msaccess.exe cures the issue, but if it were possible to run a function to refresh Access's list of printers, that would be a preferable solution.

  7. O365 version subform painting bug

Fix a recent Office 365 version bug where some subforms do not completely paint. Some areas are left blank unless the cursor clicks into the record.

  8. Please add OFFSET and FETCH to queries

It doesn't need to be as complex as SQL Server, but pagination would be nice Something like:

    SELECT Customers.*
    FROM Customers
    ORDER BY Customers.Name
    OFFSET 20 FETCH 5;

    This would be so amazing.

  16. Addition to the Access task database

    1. I need to add child task/s to the parent task. It must be linked with a Unique ID number.

    2. I need to move the field around to suit my process. Currently the field are static in the form "Task List"

    3. I suggest that you make Access - Task very user friendly by creating field that are already coded that can be just dragged and drop. ex: if I want to do an addition of two field and see the total in one filed. I'm not a programmer and need to use this in simple way.

    Regards

  17. Someone needs to be fired (really)

The recent Access updates that broke the most simple update queries was bad. However, Microsoft's response was even worse. Rather than Microsoft fixing the very serious problem they created, they said we should change the way we update records in our applications. What moron thought that was an appropriate response? Like many other throughout the world, we have a production system with 400K lines of code and you want us to rewrite every update statement because you do not want to roll out a bug fix? Then, someone thought it was a good idea to wait 30 days to fix…

  18. Access for Mac 64-bit

Why can you not make ACCESS available on Mac? This is the 21st C not the Dark Ages. I have moved from Windows laptop to a 64-bit Mac and have an annual subscription to Office 365. Why is Access NOT available to me as it was before? I cannot be the only person in the world with this problem. I am not a computer expert, just a fairly competent user. If you can develop Word, Excel, etc etc for Mac why not Access? I really don't understand the problem. My databases are now useless to me, as are those of…
