  1. Provide a MS-Access connector to PowerApps and Flow

We have a webservice on which we have a PowerApp connector that enables PowerApps to run any macro, vba procedure/function, opening of a form to fill in text-fields and/or perform the equivalent to buttonclick-events in an Access Application. If MS-Access out of the box could configure and enable a webservice on the machine it's running and thus would enable a PowerApp to be a cloudfirst/mobilefirst frontend presentation layer, MS-Access 2019 would really become something new. When the Access application has linked SQL-tables to SQL-2016 or up, it can easily delegate the creation of JSON to SQL-server, but I wouldn't be…

    • Intellisense/Builder Improvements

In Access I often use the criteria Intellisense/Builder to help me get the vba string to drill down to a deeply nested subform. But Intellisense/Builder gives up about 3 forms in. It would be nice to be able to drill down further with the help of this tool.
I am by no means an expert at Access but over time have created several useful tools over the years, with the help of many Access experts on line. I created a very comprehensive vacation calendar used by over 200 people (tied to an sql back end) for my employer prior to…

      • Create a calendar view that can be used to show recordsets with date columns.

You would set the properties of the control to a main date field in the table/query and have a click event from which an Add/Edit form could open.

        Thanks for your consideration!

        • Give us the ability to do a Partial Compress & repair on the current database

Give us the ability to request a partial Compress & Repair at the table level within an opened database.
It should not be impossible to compress database records and disk pages at the table level, bypassing and freeing up any space no longer needed for deleted data records and index entries.
Given Microsoft refusal to consider revamping the database Access database files to allow for larger databases, then giving us the ability to better manage the available 2GB of space by making incremental requests to compress & repair thins partially at the table-level could be a meaningful compromise. This could…

            • MS Access 2016 bug: if a form's "Popup" property is changed to "Yes" then Screen.ActiveForm stops working

There is a bug in MS Access 2016 in which if one changes the property of a form's "Popup" to "Yes" then Screen.ActiveForm function stops working... after a while. If I toggle it to "No" it works again. Can you please fix this bug?

                • In Access documentation, include the Access version(s) in which the feature is available

In the Access documentation, please include the version in which each feature was introduced. That will make it possible to design in one version of Access and know that the database will run on an earlier version. Right now, the only way I know to do this is to test the database on an earlier version and find the components which aren't available by trial-and-error.

(Note: that I've posted a similar suggestion in officespdev.uservoice.com for the Access VBA reference.)

                  • Create a new Comprehensive Windows Installer for Access Applications.

Access needs a quick way to get a good solid installation of Back-end and Front-end databases including a registry edit for Trusted locations and versioning.
It should also include the ability to:
                    Add Icons,
                    Add Desktop and other shortcuts,
Allow user to accept an ELUA (End User License Agreement)
                    Run simple scripts,
Install with full windows trust. (maybe with a certificate?)
                    An uninstaller.
                    A check for updates function.
Install support files into specified folders.
Read simple system values and react accordingly (eg if 64bit systems then install 64 bit ODBC Driver)

Also it would be nice if it could notify…

                    • Link Relationships Between Groups of People

For example, I use access as a work tool. It would be great if I were able to put the contact of a Research PI as one person and then put the whoever else working in the lab as a separate contact but be able to electronically link the names to the Research PI so that when I pull the PI's name up I can see who else is working in the lab.

                      • Allow emailing of Reports in Stand-alone Access 2016

Emailing Reports from Stand alone Access 2016 no longer works if installed after March 2018. The workaround is to use Office 365.

                          • Formula field type

I'd like to be able to define an input field as a calculated field based on a simple formula (arithmetic operations + parenthesis would be enough).

This is a great RAD app, it should be available to all users on any OS. Please keep it relevant. I may turn ancient otherwise cause I'm gonna to keep using it for prototyping!

                              Access is cool.

                              • Allow office to be installed on secondary hard drive.

Old versions of office allowed users to install on any hard drive they wanted. The current office 2016 consumes up valuable hard drive space for the Operating System. Allow the user to decide where they want it installed. To make it easy have a express or custom option for installation. I have seen many companies use this option it allows easy installation for those who are less tech savvy and those who have experience to customize their installation. I use Visual Studio 2017 and it allows an installation option. THIS IS A MUST most people have small hard drives for…

                                • Todo section of calendar - client should be on left and subject on right

On the Todo's section of the calendar, the Subject should be on the right side and the Client should be on the left side. You have it reverse. Interestingly odd that when the report prints it is client on left and subject on right. Can't you make the todo section of the calendar the same.

                                    • Be able to comment out multiple lines of code at a time

Similar to visual studio, be able to highlight multiple lines of code at a time and comment them out. Or do the reverse and be able to highlight multiple rows and uncomment them.

                                      • Document the LoadFromText and SaveAsText methods

There are two undocumented methods, SaveAsText and LoadFromText, which were originally used for the old SCC integration. Since Access 2013, the source code integration has been removed and we now rely on third party tools (e.g. OASIS-SVN or Ivercy being example). It is my understanding those still rely on the undocumented methods. This request is to ask that Access team document those methods and thus make it supported so that those tools can continue to count on it being available and provide a solution for source code without taking any resources from Microsoft.
