Currently, if a database is opened through code, it requires gymnastics to avoid running startup stuff. It would be nice for Access to have EnableEvents like Excel does

Lots of system help forms (i.E. on Query the search table or the references form in VBA to search DLLs ) are far too small and the user cannot resizre them, why ? Just allow to pull them bigger would help3 votes
Instead of separate window where coding takes place outside of form design, have it as a window positionable beside or below the form design.1 vote
It would be nice if Intellisense/Builder would recognize Table/Query Aliases2 votes
There are lots of commands to choose for the QAT and finding what you want can take time. It would be nice to be able to filter the choices1 vote
Excel has an option to save and restore the workspace, which is very convenient for opening all the files and positioning them where they were before. With Access, of course, this would be objects in the current database instead of files.2 votes
Why not have an OpenArgs parameter like in docmd.openform ? Would enable to react in forms based on OpenArgs - especially helpful when you want to open a form on several places with different actions.3 votes
In Queries, it would be nice to be able to reference a value in a record relative to the current one.
For instance, many times it is required to get a difference in a changed value0 votes
When exporting, it would be nice to be able to choose how data in form/page headers/footers will be treated:
1. as displayed
2. only at top and bottom
3. do not include
especially for RTF and formats that will end up in Word1 vote
I add SaveAs to my QAT -- but it would be nice if it was there by default.
When Save As (for object) from the backstage or whatever it is being these days, does NOT show what you are looking at -- this makes naming difficult.1 vote
It would be nice to have an option to Close All but the active object ... Close All would be ok too!3 votes
In queries, when there are multiple records for criteria, it would be nice if we could specify to just get the first record matching a certain condition but show all records matching criteria for the query.
list of all last order dates for a customer0 votes
for me it would be very useful to be able to search queries by date or part of the name1 vote
We are using MS Office Professional Plus 2013.
When working on more than one object in MS Access design mode, it is very easy to "stack" object windows on top of each other with the items underneath being "lost". It is possible to move another object that is open in design mode to the foreground by clicking on it in the object list pane (the list of objects on the left), but this is not always as easy as it could be because there could be a large number of objects of a particular type, and also the exact name of the object being searched for must be remembered to find it in the object list pane.
A very simple way of making the search for open objects easier is to highlight or bold the object name in the object pane list.
I know the "Switch Windows" feature on the Home tab already makes for a quick way to switch between open objects but it would be great to have an alternative way of doing that, as suggested. Also, putting the "Switch Windows" feature on all tabs would be better than having it just on the Home tab.

the docmd.sendobject ist too limited.
html formated Mail-Body is essential and easy sending attached files.
the object should be robust, and retry sending if the mailserver is not available.
If the existing Rich Text Control would support Pictures it would be perfect to use it as a mail Editor.
That would be great!0 votes

In MS Access its easy to add descriptions to fields in table editor. These descriptions are neither taken over when using ssma nor are they brought back to Access when already existing in sql server.
I've written a vba-script that creates an T_SQL script to create all field descriptions of a table. But even if descriptions exists they are not reshown in the linked table.0 votes
Thanks for posting.
We are designing on a new Linked Table Manager dialog, incorporating suggestions and requests made in UserVoice and other forums.
The Access Team
If creating a new empty accdb (acc 2013 32 bit) and you say "import all" and you have a form (in the old accdb) which contains an (older) IE-Control (part from Internet explorer) Then the form cannot copied over to a new database, but that form corrupts. Old bug, but extremely ennoying, as you cannot be sure that the created database is OK. Especially when you have 100+ Forms in it ...0 votes
I've narrowed down the issue, when the "Property Sheet" on the right is shown RDP lag time is in the seconds, hide the "Property Sheet" and it's back to full speed.
Using latest stable Access 365. Please fix.0 votes
I understand this would require a re-wickering of Access forms, but this is difficult to accomplish in Access without some serious workarounds. At least have something like a Dialogresult property as in .Net so the user can get simple values from the dialog form when closed.0 votes
