Access for Apple PC's
Can we have a version of Access that will work on Macs. As a developer, it is a real turn-off when I have to tell people that the only way they can use an Access Database is via the Web or via Remote Access.
Access could then claim to be a universal database.
Thanks for your suggestion.
We understand your frustration but at this point we have no plan to create a version of Access for Macs.

This is ridiculous! Macs are great machines for business! Why would you not have Access for them!? You're missing out on a mass market! Not Smart
Need this, the lack of the whole Office suite across platforms is annoying.
Filemaker is cross platform... why not Access??
Access desktop applications against SQL Server (or Oracle) is a powerful platform for "inward facing", business database applications. For companies and schools with mixed desktops, Access is hard to offer as a solution (other than suggesting remote desktop for Mac user - which they dislike). Access would be amazing as a Macintosh application. Most efficient database form development tool around.
The diiference with Access is it is both a Front-End and Back-End unlike SQL Server that is only a Back-End or are the enhanced graphics on a Mac too much of a challenge - gradient bsackgrounds.

Why not port Office (Access included) to popular Linux distro's, and MS can also create their own Linux distro named "Winux" or "Xenux" while they're at it?

That would be REALLY great.
