  1. Allow Datasheet Column Colours to be set individually. Currently this can only be done using conditional formating as a workaround!

With datasheets I often display system fields with a Grey background to visually indicate these cannot be edited. It would be great if we could set the BackColor Property of a Datasheet Field!

  2. Make an EASY, built-in way to develop and keep pure VBA code, separate-but-visible-and-seamlessly-callable from any Office app.

Probably impossible. But would have made a big difference to me while learning! Had slightly different versions of many of the same routines in several different apps before I even realized what was happening; took a very long time to separate back out.

  3. Form.Move Method Does Not Work With Split Form

Split forms with Pop Up property set to yes will do nothing when trying to use VBA code Form.Move Method.

Docmd.MoveSize Method works, but not Form.Move Method.

This condition has been verified by multiple users via UtterAccess Forum.

  4. Add "Quick Filter" as feature on Continuous Forms

Add the "Quick Filter" drop down menu that is on columns of a datasheet view as a feature that can be used on continuous form controls

  5. Allow report heights to be much greater than 55 cm.

As some databases get bigger and more complex the need to report also gets more complex. If the structure of the database is very complex, the 55 cm maximum height for a report becomes insufficient and there comes a need to bodge the design by inserting lots of subreports, each with their own limitation in height. This can cause severe difficulties, particularly with page-breaks.

    Please remove the height limit.

  6. Enhance SQL aggregate functions with DISTINCT (count distinct, sum distinct, avg distinct)

The DISTINCT option for aggregate functions is actually missing.

  7. Split screen in MS-Access

For the development of modern and user-friendly programs a division of the window (split screen) in MS Access is desirable so that the window can be scaled user-dependent.

  8. Make use of ACCDE much easier

Currently it is a big problem to handle ACCDE files, if your users do have different versions of Access: Full or Runtime, 2010 / 2013 / 2016, 32bit or 64bit. Please support a "low level format" with a higher level of compatibility.

  9. Read-Only Defaults for Tables and Queries

I would like an option to make tables and queries read-only by default. This would be under Access Options, Object Designers, Table & Query design sections. Two settings:
    * Make Tables read-only in Datasheet view
    * Make new Queries read-only (Snapshot)
Rationale: I deal with a lot of production data, and it would make my job considerably easier if I could make accidentally changing data much harder. Thanks!

  10. More Controls are every time in the foreground (e.g. slider, speed) when you work with a sub form

There are several controls that always in the foreground (eg. Speed, Slider, ..) appear and other controls can not be covered). This is very disturbing when programming.

  11. Add native control for multiselect checkboxes

Please provide a new native control for multiselect checkboxes like available in Excel for filtered columns.

  12. Fix Bug: Custom ribbon changes when recordset is set

I use the uSysRibbon table and the custom ribbon works. The form it is attached to is unbound. Once the user picks a record from the combo box, I set the recordsource in code. And as soon as I do this, the ribbon CHANGES for no reason. If I bind the form, it's no problem. It is clearly the me.recordset="Select......" code that triggers this.

  13. Multiselect-Combobox usable with SQL-Server-tables

The multi-select-comboboxes are great, but only usable with native Access tables. Because I'm working with SQL-Server as backend, I have no use of that.
Please make it possible to store the data within a normal text-field (e. g. as csv or XML). So it would be also possible to use it within tables of SQL-Server or other backends.

  14. Restrict scope in endless and sub form to single record

If you do some VBA in endless forms all changes of e.g. properties go to ALL "instances" of that form.
So "rows" in an endless form are not separate objects and can't be handled separately.
Conditional formatting helps (sometimes), but it's only "half of a solution".
Like with .Parent it could be an idea to add .Record(id) to enable individual formatting and computing on single records of an endless form.

  16. Changeable fontsize in the navigation-section for the objects

Normally on the left side the developer can select an object. The names of them are too smal on large Screens.

    -Autocompactfunction in Background
    -Expand maximum Databasesize
    -Autozoom of Images on Buttons
-Button with Text and Image need a better function for positioning for the Image (like a Tab)
    - Windows without frame become a shadow
    - Transparentoption for every Control and Form (different Header, Detail and Footer)
    - new Framecontrol with Splitter
    - every Object become a identity Name so that i can used it without a long path over form and subform ...

Thank you for taking the time to post your suggestions. It is hard to respond as there are multiple items in your single suggestion.

As for charts – we are actively looking into ways to modernize data visualization in Access.

    Stay tuned.

    Thanks,
    Michal [MSFT]

  20. Include Macro in Button Wizard for moving forms (and/or Access Application Window) from one monitor to another

Basically, include native support for easy positioning and size of Access Application Window and Forms instead of requiring complicated API calls and code manipulation.
