  1. Please have default date using =Today() or date/time using =Now() align with user domain

Current behaviour is for the date value returned to be the date/time where the server is hosted, rather than the date/time as set in the user's domain... e.g. if the server is located in California (currently GMT-8) and the user is in New Zealand (currently GMT+13), the date returned is yesterday's unit 9:00pm each day using =Today(), or the time display is 21 hours behind using =Now()

      • Please let me know the future roadmap of Access Web

My name is Yoshiki Tojo from Tokyo,Japan..

I have been using the Access Web 2013/2016 on office 365 from 2013.
There were no significant improvements for Access 2016 from 2013.

Recently, I have not heard some significant improvements of Acces Web.
I am now worried about the future Access Web.

To anyone, if you have some official improvement roadmap for the future Access Web, please let me know it.

        My concerns are like followings.

        1. 1GB DB limitation on office 365.
2.The connectivity with the other modules by Web API,
        Web Services,Rest etc.
        3. Logical compound prime key support.
        4.ODBC…

        • Read-only option for Datasheet view in access web app doesn't work if datasheet open in popup

I noticed a wrong behavior of the datasheet views, while I marked them to be read-only, and I open it in popup it will not remain read-only (although the add and delete buttons are disabled) but the "new" line at the bottom of the sheet is active and I can add records normally!!
but if the datasheet view is opened from normal default generated view... the read-only option is working!!

          • Please provide File Attachments feature and Multi Select Text Box feature in Access Web Apps

I would really like to see the following features in the Access Web App

            1. Radio Button control.
            2. An Expand/Collapse control to expand a form within the existing view.
            3. Please provide File Attachments (multiple files) feature to upload.
            4. include Multi Select option Text Box feature in Access Web Apps.

If the above features were integrated in the Custom Access Web App, it would be better to go with "Microsoft Access" rather than "Intuit QuickBase".

            Thank you,

            • Size Limit (Access Web App)

Please increase the size since it is already in SQL Database! This is actually quite promising.

              • Avoid misleading error message about "communicating with OLE server or ActiveX Control."

During development of an Access Web App I got this error message which is totally unrelated to Access Web Apps hosted on the SharePoint server that is included in the Office 365 license. It appears when I click "Customize in Access" in the upper right corner of the browser window while viewing the Access Web App window.
The fix was easy, but it also shows a weakness in the system. After deleting the cash in "C:\users\username\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Access\DatabaseCache\16.0" . The error came back once on a different workstation and it can be fixed again by deleting the cash.
                The error is probably…

I have a blank view with an input Text field where the type is set to Short Date and the default value contains expression: =DateAdd(Day,7,DateAdd(Hour,18,Now())) and the result shows the correct date in my case 2/02/2017 however the subsequent query fails with cant convert date/time error. If I use the date picker and select the same date it still fails, if I over type the input date to another date it still fails the only way it works is when I use date picker and select a different date to default then it works perfectly. I suspect the default date…

                    • Put support back for Bing Maps

Why would you have pulled support for Bing Maps for this product?

                      https://blogs.office.com/2014/05/13/spice-up-your-access-app-with-apps-for-office/

You also pulled support for the charts from Microsoft Labs as well?

                      There isn't a good reason.

                      • Capability of UI macro which is able to change visible/unvisible conrol of table selector on a tile

                        This is Yoshiki-Tojo, from Tokyo,Japan.

Now an Access Web app has one tile, and can't change the visible/unvisible control of table selector on the tile dinamically.

Tile-View design is very useful for the end user. It's easy to understand
                        the whole application components.

For that purpose, we always use the tile for an application process, such as Data entry,Inventory control, sales, purchasing, master maintenance, etc . These are not the application table.
So, we intentionaly create some dummy tables.for processing.

However, an enduser has a special permission, and the other enduser
has another permission. each permission has the special procesing.

                        We…

                        • DatePart function in a calculated table field

In a calculated table field it only works with Year, Month and Day DatePart arguments. Other date parts don't appear in Intellisense and throw syntax errors when you try to save the table

                            • Reference subview labels and controls from the parent design view

It would be great to be able to programmatically reference the subview's labels and controls from the parent view. This is so the developer can change the behavior of subview labels and controls when the user is interacting with controls in the parent view. Subviews are a great way to speed up the load performance of complex forms so it would be a great feature to have.

Currently, the list is great if your app is to do with chess (12 icons) or playing cards (8 icons), but there are lots of icons which would be very useful to have, e.g. some computer-related ones, industrial ones, sports (not just American ones, please) and buildings.

                                  • Comment out the UI macros and Data macros

We sometimes change the macros. At that time we sometimes want to remain the old macros as comments.
But current editor can't support to comment out the macros.

This is a very basic request, but I think very useful for the developper.

                                    Thanks

                                    • Expand GoToRecord to include Record ID

GoToRecord only allows for Previous, Next, First, and Last. It should also include ID.

If a user launches a popup from a related items control where a change is made on the popup (e.g. Promotion Date), the main form (list view) may show a field for Last Promotion Date. The After Update macro on the table can update the field represented on the main form, but when the popup is closed, the old value will still appear. A refresh will take care of that, but the entire list is refreshed and the user is taken off the current record.

                                      • About enterprise dataconnector announced on the Access Blog

I found an article on the Access Blog.
The enterprise dataconnector was described on it.
But I ensured it as available only in Access Desktop.

Current Access Web is like a silo whichi was described by Mr.Jeff Conrad. I thik so. We sometimes have to develop some compound applications. We want to connect with other databases, in that cases.

However, these capability is not supported in current Access Web.

So I'll hope that such an enterprise dataconnector will be supported on Access Web.

                                        Thanks.

                                        • This is a question.

Recently, new announcement has been done on Access Blog.
I have a question. About the enterprise data connector, is this function
on the Access Web or Access Desktop?

Now. I couldn't post the Access Blog, I coundn't the reason why.
So, I posted this question on this site.

                                          Thanks.
