Hello again,Dolly,
You are right that QuickBooks has an SDK for the Desktop version.
Sage needs you to join the Developers Programme in order to download the SDK.
See https://shop.sage.co.uk/developersprogramme.aspx?_ga=1.257339651.903643317.1485024862This costs a minimum of £1500 per annum.

Hello Dolly
For Sage, you need to be a Sage Developer (cost over £1000pa). For QuickBooks a similar situation. You need to buy expensive add-ons to link to Access.
Often as a developer, you need a simple way of adding a transaction or reading a Client address and the cost of buying an add-on is prohibitive. If you think that this suggestion could make life even a little easier for you, please vote for it.

@Nigel, can you please elaborate what you meant in this request?

Hi Dolly
I admire your skill and cleverness. However, one should not have to resort to building one's own tabbed forms to get around the inadequacies of the standard forms. Vote for this feature and you wont need a workaround, however flawlessly you have designed it.

Thanks to Dolly and Albert for mentioning that there are routes to link these Programs to Access.
So, in which case it wouldn't hurt to have on the External Data ->More button 'Sage Accounts' and 'Quickbooks'
