    The Access team is adjusting our status for this request – we are planning to embed the Monaco Editor (support for SQL Editor improvements) into Access, to be released within the next semester (first half of 2021), which will provide capabilities such as syntax highlighting, IntelliSense, SQL comments, and more. We are excited to have this capability released by next year, and we appreciate the energy and enthusiasm on this feature request. We still have a long ways to go to improve our experience with SQL, so please stay tuned as we execute on this objective!

    Thanks,
    -Access Product Team

    We are well aware of this issue and are working closely with the Windows team on resolving it. Although we believe we have a solution to the problem, it introduces some new issues that we need to investigate and resolve before we can deploy the fix.

    Access Engineering

    @Access Engineering
    Two years later...
    The August updates from last week are once again causing problems with Access. This time the trigger is the Windows 10 update KB4566782, which installs a faulty msjet40.dll. The error affects all systems that still work with databases in the old MDB format. The error descriptions range from problems opening the database, error messages about the system table "MsysAccessObjects" to uncontrolled database bloat even with read-only accesses.
    Can the Access community still expect a solution to the problem under Windows 10?

    Hi Piotr, and barcode supporters,

    It would be good to hear more about what you’d expect from a native barcode control -
    what formats are mostly used? what are other requirements for barcode support?

    Thanks,
    Michal [MSFT]

    @Michal
    Currently I use Code 39 and Code 128, QR Code, DataMatrix, and UPC/EAN can also be very useful.
    My requirement would be a textbox or similar for forms and reports with built-in barcode fonts. In this box you can select the barcode type and as text you pass the readable text that should be displayed as barcode.
